EA has dropped the official trailer for the Battlefield 6 (2025) x Dead Space Convergence Event, a limited-time Halloween crossover that grafts survival-horror mechanics onto one of the season's new maps. The collab marks a meaningful genre shift for the live-service shooter's Season 5 content slate.
Official trailerPublished by Xbox on October 20, 2026, the trailer introduces Marker Incursion — a 16-player PvE mode set in the underground corridors of the Area 51 map, which launched with Season 5: Siege of Vegas on October 13. Players fight hordes of AI-controlled Marked Soldiers, pick up the iconic Dead Space Pulse Rifle as an in-match Battle Pickup, and must destroy the Marker before Convergence spreads. The mode is available in both Battlefield 6 and the free-to-play spin-off REDSEC, across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. EA Motive — studio behind the 2023 Dead Space remake — led development of the crossover content. The event runs October 20 through November 10, per EA's Update 2.1.1.0 notes, though an earlier press release cited November 7 as the end date.
