Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data processed on kynari.io is Marc Martí, based in Barcelona, Spain. Contact: hello@kynari.io.
What data we collect and why
- Newsletter and account sign-ups. If you sign up, we store your email address and, if you give it, your name, to send you the emails you asked for and to manage your account. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a). You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or by writing to us.
- Emails you send us. We use your address and message only to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (art. 6.1.f).
- Audience measurement. We use Metricool to count visits in aggregate (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location). Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the publication is read (art. 6.1.f).
- Embedded videos. Some articles embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube only loads when the video comes into view and may set storage on your device when you play it. See our cookie policy.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data (IP address, browser, time) to keep the site secure and working.
Who processes data for us
Kynari runs on Ghost, self-hosted on Railway. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them. Visit statistics are processed by Metricool. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Aggregate statistics contain no directly identifying data.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to restrict or object to its processing, by writing to hello@kynari.io. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you think your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Changes
We will update this page if the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
